The First Nations Women’s Gathering Limited is grassroots, not-for-profit community-controlled organisation. Created by First Nations women for First Nations women. Our work is shaped by lived experience, cultural authority and the voices of our women.

We will walk alongside you and provide:

Safety Support – support with safety planning, referrals and practical help

Healing spaces – yarning circles, cultural healing, connection to Country

Support for children – safe spaces for children to feel supported and strong

Advocacy & justice support – standing beside women in systems that can feel overwhelming
We believe in breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma, restoring dignity, and strengthening families through culture and connection.

Our Mission
To nurture healing, safety and cultural strength for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence, walking alongside them with care, respect and cultural integrity.

We exist to create spaces where women are heard, believed and supported. Where children feel safe, where culture guides healing and where no woman walks alone.

Healing Is Sacred
Healing is more than a crisis response, it is restoring spirit, identity and strength.We honour each woman’s journey and move at the pace she chooses. We focus on restoration, we hold space for grief, strength, truth-telling and renewal.
Culture Heals
Culture is medicine. Connection to Country, Elders language and community strengthen wellbeing and restore identity. Our work is culturally grounded and spiritually respectful.
Safety First
Safety is the foundation of healing.We create spaces where women and children feel believed, protected and supported, emotionally, physically and culturally.
